I was very thankful to be asked back in August to do piece for the winter edition of DIY wedding magazine.

I went with a highly off shot retro style from the colors of my inspiration that I had to go off of. This was my first time doing a retro print but had kept a pic of a print I had seen months earlier and decided to go for it. Every step along the way with this cake I kept on hearing ABBA singing in the back ground their song " I do, I do, I do , I do"…..

So far have not done many flowers so I went with a really whimsical flower. I made seperators specifically to match my cake stand. I used texture on my top tier then a dry brush technique to really give it some dimension. Each piece on the bottom tier was made by cutters then texturized and placed on cake the same way as in Jessica Harris’s craftsy class.
