It is the beginning of December and Christmas is only a few weeks away, so it is time for all Children to send their letter to Santa with their Christmas wish list!!!! This little girl has already written her letter to Santa and is trying to reach the letterbox on tiptoes, to post it!!

I wanted to give this cake a vintage Christmas card look so I opted for the brownish red and ivory colours!!! In vintage Christmas cards you frequently have a Christmas scene and then Christmas roses or hollies in the foreground, that is why I included the flowers and holly leaves on top of the framed image.

For the little girl I followed a tutorial on Cake decoration monthly (February 1996 issue), however I changed it a little to give it a more wintry / Christmassy feel.
