This is one of the most challenging cakes , I have done so far. The design of the cake was under discussion for months. Finally the customer, who is also my friend and a wonderful baker,came up with his ideas. He is in the middle east and wanted to surprise his wife on their anniversary.

He was very particular on certain details, like the cake needs to be in heart shape, covered in red fondant,should be more or less resembling a cushion and not the flat kind of heart and with sugar flowers and the number 7 too along with their initials too !!! For a minute, I was like: “Will I be able to do it” .. but then, taking up challenges is fun. All those flowers are done just from watching some pictures from the net. I know they are not perfect, but all of them are my first attempts.

All the detailing is as per client request and I have never pulled a cake like this before. My very first attempt on all the detailing here…
