This cake was made for the 239th birthday ball. I had the privilege and pleasure of making this cake for a group of Marines here in Northern Virginia. My father spent almost 23 years in the Corps, so this cake was extra special. Plus they held it in a historical tavern in Arlington where some of our FOUNDING fathers ate which made it even cooler!.
