Another new design for last weekends wedding show. I wanted to try out some new techniques ie watercolour. The middle tier I used 2 shades gold lustre and dragged it with alcohol to get the watercolour effect. I was going to leave the top tier just white but felt it didn’t look right so that is where the chevrons came in (not as easy to get perfectly straight even using modelling paste and I had marked the cake too!)
Caroline made the Peony, the first one she made we felt that it didn’t look right so she scrapped it and started again and was much happier with this one.
