I had full design control of this wedding cake and I truly loved the ‘freedom’. Bottom layer is Chocolate-Chocolate chip; the middle layer is Carmel with fresh Apples and Maple BC; the top is Duff Goldman’s ‘camo’ cake mix. I used ‘Real Tree’ camo edible image sheets around the sides and a shaping tool to hand-design the ‘tree’ layer in BC, then airbrushed. The antler topper was made free-hand (wire, foil, and gumpaste) and airbrushed (thanks to Calli & amajan for the decorating tip for lightening it up). The deer silhouettes were cut from fondant w/ Tylose and allowed to dry a few weeks. I added a little spainish moss the morning of delivery…it just needed something there:) In the back was a little surprise for the bride (a good friend of mine)….a skeleton hand (gumpaste) holding her grooms heart- she loved it!! Mission accomplished:) TFL!
