Had so much fun doing this one for a good friend turning 50, who lives quite local to me and is an amazing dressmaker. I chose a vintage dress of the period she was born. She had no idea she was having a party, and was so surprised to see us all. She loved her cake and still had not cut it… 2 weeks later… But then it is fruit so it keeps. She loves my fruit cake, so was so happy to do this royal iced cake for her,
All the modelling is hand make from both pastillage and sugar paste and fondant.
This was an especially fabulous treat to make for a lady who has been a rock for me as a friend and advisor. :)
