This was made to honor a wonderful cake decorator named Betty that I’ve gotten to know on another cake site. A number of us made cakes & posted them today for her birthday. This was an orange cake with passion fruit curd filling. I had originally made cooked frosting but had an issue with it for the first time. Couldn’t find any more butter in the fridge but had some instant pudding & used that mixed with a little leftover passion curd & used it for the frosting. Of course after I had covered the cake, I found another lb of butter in the refrigerator. You can imagine the words that flew out of my mouth at that point. Have to admit they were not fit for a lady . lol Flowers are Chrysanthemums.
