Christening cake with dahlias

The bottom is hand painted to match the invitation (image attached) which looked like stylized dahlias to me, so I echoed the dahlia theme with 3 sugar dahlias on top. First time making sugar dahlias. Not the best lighting for these photos. :-(

Hadn’t been on here in a bit. Thank you for the nice comments. I love dahlias, but I think there’s room to experiment and improve on them. They have a lot of petals!!
