2-layer 10-in. round red velvet cake with a one-layer 8-in. round on top. Black fondant numbers for topper and piped zigzag pattern in buttercream on numbers.
Frosted cake in BC, then started with bottom tier adding some blue and turquoise buttercream to smooth and then make a ruffle pattern in icing going around the cake.
I added sanding sugar in tan around base of cake after piping additional blue icing for the sugar to attach to.
I piped name on side by using a zigzag boarder tip #4.
Palm trees piped on side using #10 tip for trunk, #3 tip in black BC texture on trunk.
Piped green palm foliage with #352 leaf tip. and #5 black coconuts, or can use dark brown.
Top tier frosted in layers of pink, orange, peach, and top edge in purple. Front sunset is white center red and gold outline. I pulled a tooth pick thru outer edge. and smoothed over again. I made white chocolate sea shells, and brushed with edible gold and pearl airbrush using an art brush.
Also top of edge of 10-in l, round I frosted edge in golden yellow to look like sun was reflecting.
*REally wish I had gotten a picture at the shop, as it looked better and bigger than these pics portray~
