This weekend my youngest cousin celebrated his 1st birthday and christening and I wanted to make him something special. :) I made this project a while ago and was waiting for an occasion to put it in practicce, so I thought this was the perfect one! A baby delivered by a flying stork!

The stork is flying agout 30 cm from the cake board and is secured only by the beak, carrying the baby. It measures about 70 cm beak to tail and the wingspan is 75 cm wide.

The stork is a cake and the baby and clouds are also cake. Only the baby’s head is made of styrofoam so that they could keep it.

Everybody loved it and were wondering how was it possible that it didn’t fall. :)

This was one of the most challenging cake I’ve ever made and I loved to do it!
