Originally mum sent me a picture of a cake by the brilliant Poppy Pickering, which was itself inspired by another bear cake. I wanted to add my own twist to the very popular bears, clouds, crowns and crescent moon cake idea. So, taking inspiration from the picture and the very fabulous Debbie Brown, I came up with a new design (well I hope it’s new, it’s so hard sometimes with so many great cake makers around).

The bears are super cute, but it did take ages to put all the decoration on and at 2.00 a.m. this morning I thought that’s enough and went to bed, only to just be falling asleep when I remembered I hadn’t made the crowns! So, up early this morning, extra Tylo added to some flower paste for super quick drying, two crowns made, four children up, breakfast, dressed for ballet and out the door for a 9.30 a.m. delivery, and breath. Lol. Ever have any stressful last minute decorating to do, whilst juggling kids and activities?
