So this was my son’s second cake for his 7th birthday. We had two cakes to balance family life. I had a Mirgraine knock me out for 36 hours this week – so I’m happy with what I still managed to churn out! Lots of crazy errors made (what was I thinking? ?) But I am going to focus what I am happy with instead. I loved my first 2d character head (the topper) most pleased with myself! 2nd my 3 coloured ganached tiers survived the afternoon humidity quite well and I like my cake board!! The rest is all in the wash! :)

Thank you lovelies. Yes it was horrible and spent most of the 2 days hiding in bed. Worst one I’ve had for awhile. I rushed 3 day’s work (including all the bbq home set up) into 1! But a great night was had by all so it was worth it x

Cake is adorable! Amazing that you were able to pull this off after a migraine. I’m usually in a fog for days afterwards and can’t anything right.

Yes Goreti I had it all planned out – made my head topper a week earlier… Wednesday was supposed to be ganache day and starting the bottom tiers, fondant accents… none of that happened until late last night (my Friday) I stayed up until 3am, and today soldier on. I am lucky my husband stepped up and pitched in more than usual and we had a great family bbq. I am truly exhausted now, in bed, enjoying a little look at the lovely cakes up tonight x
