I loved making this cake! The birthday girl and I share the same birthday :) This cake is Coconut flavored with buttercream frosting and fresh toasted coconut flakes.
I made the picnic table out of fondant, little did I know that the parents own a beautiful hand crafted table business! Originally I was going to just make a blanket with the animals around it but I wanted to try something a little different… and ya know if it didn’t work – just fall back on the blanket idea hahaa ;)
I also made the picnic basket and all of the food/bowls/plates out of fondant.
All of the animals are toys which I made little paper party hats for.
