I carved this cake from an 8" square and a 6" round sponge cake. Although I originally intended to paint the lens I ended up using edible images as I ran out of time. I used a scourer pad (new!) to emboss the sides so that it looked like the grip that you get on the side of the camera. For the strap, I used an embossing pin that gives nice even straight lines.
