I have called this a showstopper, not because I am big headed (ok, well a little) but because so many people called it a showstopper cake at the venue. The bride’s mum was moved to tears and the bride couldn’t believe it was so beautiful. It had tiers of fruit, carrot cake and orange blossom cream cheese frosting and 2 tiers of cherry bakewell (the brides favourite!) I used sugarpaste direct fondant as I I love the silky smooth finish it gives, especially for wedding cakes. I think this may be my best cake so far – it even got over 1000 likes on my Facebook page x
