This summer a friend of mine asked me to make her a yacht cake. But it had to be her husband´s yacht, Lupita. It was his birthday and she wanted to surprise him. She sent me photos of Lupita.
I made a sea cake with an RKT yacht, but I had many problems because of the heat here, 37 ºC more or less. So the fondant was melting.
I used an airbrush for the first time to make the depth of the sea, and like always I made some curling waves with some fishes to make contrast. And on top of it, Lupita ha ha.
It was an strawberry sponke with layers of strawberry marmalade and white chocolate buttercream.
