I was asked to make a cake to appear on our local news channel featuring a Shark theme. The Discover Chanel’s Shark Week was the inspiration, and I wanted a sculpted cake, but did not trust our weather (Monsoon Season here in Phoenix) so I opted for a modeling chocolate shark with a hand painted cake. Various kinds of sharks swimming in the cake and surrounded by brown sugar sand. The waves are meringue!
