Hi! I'm Angela Saban, from sunny Phoenix, Arizona. Originally from North Carolina, my love for cakes and confections started in my grandmother's kitchen. Just like so many young girls raised in the South, I was in the kitchen at the young age of 7, learning the basics of cooking and baking. A Preacher's wife, my grandmother Annabelle Moore Bates was a self taught seamstress and pastry chef (thanks to Wilton catalogs), decorating cakes full of fresh ingredients and delicious butter cream for many counties throughout Kentucky.
Carrying on in the spirit of tradition, my creations are romantic, elegant, decadent, and begin by baking the highest quality cake possible. All cakes and fillings are made from scratch and using fine quality and fresh ingredients, including real butter, Belgian chocolate, cream cheese, heavy cream, Madagascar vanilla and fresh eggs.
No cake mixes are ever used and no additives, preservatives, or artificial flavorings are present in the cakes which are baked and designed around each event for that special touch that will always be remembered.
In addition to my cakes and dessert tables, I began to experiment with alternative flours and ingredients. Diagnosed with Celiac Disease 20 years ago, Although my desserts are ALL delicious, my goal will always be to make delicious and beautiful over-the-top cakes and desserts for the gluten free community.
Hi Angela, new follow from me! I’m also a southern girl from NC… I live west of Asheville. I LOVE your work! I can’t wait to see more.
