I’ve had this cake in my head for awhile, but wasn’t sure I could pull it off without a steel rod structure. But I managed to do it with dowels, though it took some work.

The hardest part was trying to make the glowing lightsabre. I wanted it light weight but still realist looking. So I rigged up a 3V LED and rolled some cellophane. Simple, effective, reflective, and light weight.

The best part of this cake was cutting it in a room full of 8 year olds, who thought cutting out his cake belly was the best thing they’d ever seen. So much laughter. That’s what it’s all about though. <3
