Hi all,
This is an arrangement of sugar flowers I’ve made for a wedding cake I have coming up in August. Two of my friends have chosen the same day for their weddings and have asked me to make the cake for both – which I’m very happy to do, but want to make sure I do as much in advance as possible. So I made these flowers and formed the arrangements from now, so (hopefully) I can just secure the whole thing to the cake when the time comes. For the moment they’re on a cake board and one of my upturned baking pans/ with a diamante candle plate on top to give an idea of what it will look like when the cake is there XD

roses, hypericum berry sprays, carnations, a few peony buds hiding round the side and assorted leaves
all handmade (wired) using gumpaste from Inspired By Michelle’s (old) recipe on youtube. This was my first time making anything like this so it has been a learning experience, but a fun one. I’d love to hear what you think, especially as I can’t post this on Facebook yet because the bride will see it!
