V Energy Drink Cake ~

After making bottle molds for everyone else – I finally got to do my own Sugar Glass bottle cake. Also excited to use for the first time my Diamond steel Impression mat kindly gifted to me by Jo from Ciccio Cakes! I did not have a silicon ice cube tray to make perfect ice cube shapes, so just poured the hot sugar into my silicon cupcake tray and cracked them into pieces instead. Not to miss one melting ice cube on the board! :)
All edible! The Bottle and ice are made from my own sugar glass recipe. Going to be a total sugar hit on this one! Yes the Bottle is sticking out too much but I didn’t want to hide the label as the cake was about the V bottle more than anything else…

Wow!! fantastic……I want to make a sugar glass wine glass for a cake I’ve got an order for, but the mould is too expensive and I probably won’t get the chance to use it again. It’s hard to believe your Energy drink bottle isn’t the real thing…..so realistic…..fantastic job Mel xxxxx

Hi Karen – yes the molds are expensive – but if its a wine bottle cake – you can easily use gumpaste to give the bottle effect – gumpaste doesn’t look right for Beer and other smaller bottles…The molds are life time use though!
