This sweet cake was for an engagement party. Jeanne Winslow was so kind to grant me permission to use her beautiful Party Dress cake as inspiration for this design. It was originally supposed to be a wafer paper damask pattern, but I can’t see it in anything other than polka dots now! The black painted gumpaste flower is a deep red on the backside – in honor of the bride-to-be’s love of Louboutin shoes. The center tier is a chalkboard finish on black fondant with a little white painted heart. :) Thanks for looking!
