Karen Flude the Broderie Anglaise was made up of panels of flower paste (a mixture prob would’ve been better) but each tier had to be separated allowing an overhang of material. Once the panels were dry they ran the risk of shattering and worse still the overhang made it impossible to handle. It was so brittle but I felt the flower paste was the only way to achieve the specific brief from the Bride of clean lines etc. I traveled with the bottom 2 stacked together and then the 2 top stacked together, they then had to be assembled fully at the hotel, there was just no way to handle lifting the tiers safely, as I had spent over 35 hours to get to this stage I had no way of repairing any breakages as the panels were the with of the side of each tier again to adhere to the Brides specific clean line brief.

Oh my….that was terribly stressful!!! Cake is so very beautiful…was it was worth the heart failure??!!
