This cake took me more than 12 hours just to do the finishes on the cakes, the board and the 2D cutouts of Hans Solo, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and Boba Fett. I really thought I’d save a lot of time by airbrushing the black on the Xbox (which I did!) but didn’t take into account the butt-load (sorry, no other suitable word for how I was feeling lol) of time it would take to do the 2D cutouts. So unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to add the level of details that I really wanted on the board and the poker chips…also wanted to add some depth to the 2D cutouts with petal dust.

It’s tougher than I realized, to make 2D cutouts of real life people look like who they are supposed to be. It would have been easier to do Luke & Hans in 3D with the amount of time I ended up spending on them! Really, what was I thinking? LOL…
