I’m not sure what to call this cake, but I think it’s like a lace only over the cake. I got the effect by cutting the flowers and leaves from fondant then joining with royal icing, quite fiddly but came together in the end. The flower on the side was my first wired flower so I was pretty happy with how that turned out.
