Baby’s mommy wanted a sock monkey-themed cake for her Jake’s 1st Birthday smash cake shoot. She wanted it SUPER simple and one-dimensional, but I convinced her to let me make her a gumpaste sock monkey figurine that she can keep forever. I am so glad she agreed to let me do it because I loved making this little guy…and now I miss him. Ha! Cake is dairy-free vanilla, with vegan vanilla buttercream.
