Triple Graduations!

Triple Graduations!
Triple Graduations! Triple Graduations! Triple Graduations! Triple Graduations!

This wonderful family has three daughters all graduating from different schools on the same day! One from elementary, one from middle, &one from high school. My client asked for a cake that would represent all 3 girls, their schools, & their interests, but no matter how much I pondered it, I just couldn’t figure out how to get all that on one cake without it looking jumbled & overdone. Then I had the idea to create a ‘yearbook’ for each girl, themed to her school & interests. The middle book features one of Emily’s ORIGINAL drawings, which I printed in an edible image for the cake. I had a fit when I saw it! I love dragons!

The red book is strawberry cake with strawberry white chocolate buttercream filling & dark chocolate ganache. The black cake is a gluten free Australian Chocolate Mud with Oreo white chocolate buttercream filling & dark chocolate ganache. The blue cake is a gluten free White Chocolate Mud cake with lemon curd buttercream filling & white chocolate ganache. Every single thing on the board is edible with the exception of the ribbon tied around the diploma.

I so enjoyed creating this cake, & I think I am most proud of getting my tassel to drape like a real one. Haha! I also loved the message i found online. Every single graduation cake says ’congratulations, & I wanted something different, & that would work for all three girls.
