Hi!
I’ve made this cake last weekend for ruby wedding anniversary cake.. Please give your comments/suggestions.
It was eggless vanilla cake with vanilla butter cream filling.. all the decorations were hand made.. It came out nice and looked great the whole day.. but in the night it started sinking from the side and it had little tilt.. any idea what that happened? Please give your expert advice so I can prevent that from happening for next time..
Thanks

I’m no expert but I would say it was your support system. Did you cut the dowels all the same size?
Pretty cake. I was going to say the same as Goreti…did you dowel your cake??

I agree with the dowels, but it still is a very beautiful cake and your diamond pattern is so perfectly done!

Goreti, jchuck & Maggie, thanks for taking the time out and replying and liking my cake. Yes I did used dowells but I think I should’ve used more support. I used four dowells on each tier and two long ones for the whole cake. My cake was very soft like chiffon cake so could that be the reason? Next time I will try using six on each tier. Thanks again.
