A few weeks ago I was honoured to make a cake for two of my dear friends that are expecting their first baby soon.

It had been so long since I’d made a cake following my own design – I quite simply couldn’t wait to get started!

Both cakes were plain madeira with vanilla buttercream filling and crumb coat.

And this is the first bow I’ve made that I’ve been truly happy with!
