I started cake decorating in May 2013 after my dad asked me to make a birthday cake for my step sister. I'd never really tried using fondant properly before so it was a big test for me.
I had loads of fondant left over so started to have a play and I found that I enjoyed it - and according to my friends - I was quite good at it too!
In October I set up a business making cakes however I found the pressure of working full time, running a cake business and trying to maintain a home life I bit of a stretch, so 6 months later I called it a day.
That being said, I am once again enjoying baking, decorating and experiencing new techniques without the worry of time or finances!
