This cake was for a 40th birthday where the gentleman got a Wing Walking experience as his present.
All edible bar the dowel supports holding the wings together.
The cake was a “black forest sponge” cake (which was the birthday boy’s favourite apparently). Rich moist chocolate cake, layered with Madagascan vanilla bean buttercream, real cherries and cherry conserve, covered in rich plain chocolate ganache and then sugar paste.

All I can say is I hope he eats the cake after his sky experience!!
