This Mother’s Day my lovely Mum requested that I make her a birdcage cake for her Mother’s Day gift. Never having made one before, I knew it would be a challenge but took it on anyway!

It turned out pretty well considering, I thought. It was fun having more freedom with a cake than I normally do! My favourite part was hand painting the bird! I’m really enjoying practicing my hand painting skills.

My Mumma loved the cake! and in just over 24 hours it’s pretty much all been devoured! I’m glad my Mum enjoyed her cake :)
