I made this cake for my mother’s 75th birthday. Since I didn’t have 10 hours to spend on her cake it had to be a quickie, which meant a “rosette cake” to the rescue! Most of the rosettes are made with the normal piping tips. There are a few baby ranunculus roses mixed in on the top. I discovered how to make these purely by accident last year. I was so excited by this simple technique that I wrote a tutorial for it on my blog. If you want to check it out the link is…http://thesweetthesassyandtheblur.blogspot.com/2013/08/buttercream-ranunculus-roses-tutorial.html
The mold that I used for the topper is from Marvelous Molds.
Thank you for looking and…
Happy Rosette-ing!
