This weekends cake is for the cutest little girl and she loves Minnie mouse. Her family are also planning on taking her to Disneyworld to celebrate so that is what we went for. I had free reign on design and new I wanted to do a frilly little skirt but not the usual ones we see as I have done cakes like that and wanted to try something different.
I did not want to do the same cake as everyone else with dots or Minnie’s head over and over again so I got my daughter who is 14 involved and told her she had to come up with the design for the top tier and I think she did a great job. Next time though instead of hand painting the castle I think I will cut it out of modeling chocolate, apart from that I loved it. Hat ears are gumpaste.
