Cheese & Wine... and cake!

Cheese & Wine... and cake!
Cheese & Wine... and cake! Cheese & Wine... and cake! Cheese & Wine... and cake!

8" round chocolate cake, layered with salted chocolate buttercream and covered with white chocolate sugarpaste which was then moulded to look like a giant ripe camembert cheese, complete with removed wedge and some cheese oozing! Presented on a board which I covered with wood effect glazed sugarpaste, and topped with an edible model of the birthday girl listening to her ipod with a large bottle of her favourite tipple, and wearing her favourite sparkly silver peep-toes. Such fun to make and 100% edible (apart from her specs!). Happy Birthday Cat! x

Thanks for looking :)

You were busy last week! Another stunner! x

That board looks like polished walnut. How do you DO that? Brilliant again. Pinned & faved.

Thank you for your lovely comments. Hazza, to cover the board I partially mixed Renshaw’s Teddy Bear Brown and Chocolate, which gives a marble effect when rolled out, and then glazed it with Dinkydoodle’s Shell & Shine cake lacquer and left it to dry. I was really pleased with the effect and the client commented on how realistic it was too! :) Thanks for asking.
