I just love thistles, once again here they are on a cake, free hand painted on a fondant topper. The rest of the cake is just covered with butter cream. I made this cake a couple of days ago for a friend. I modelled some insects to give a bit of movement. I just love to mix 3d elements with a paited backround. I also pretended to have forgotten my friend’s birthday, she was so happy when she opened the cake box, she could hardly believe it!!!!! What a joy : – ) I promise the next painted cake will have no thistles but other flowers!
