The cake itself is iced in an antique gold colour and then white lace stencilled on top. The posy of sugar flowers on top was made to resemble the bride’s bouquet of burgundy roses, ivory lisianthus and red hypernicum berries. I always find it really tricky to put sugar bouquets together like this where there are no gaps!! It’d be so much easier with real flowers ;)
