My birthday was last weekend and my dear husband baked my cake! Can you believe it was the first cake he’s ever baked? He tried one of my vegan chocolate cake recipes, and guess what? It tasted like chocolate cake and it was delicious! I’m working on adding vegan flavors to my menu and this is the first to make the cut. My husband baked the cake, made the frosting, covered the cake in fondant, and decorated it all by himself. For those of you who don’t know, my husband is my painter and most of our artistic designs come from his brain. However, since he’s never baked a cake or made frosting or covered a real cake in fondant, I’m extremely impressed and proud. I was one happy birthday girl! Another FYI: I love lighthouses, I love my husband’s paintings, and I love this cake :)
