Here’s some pics of my last cake of 2013, and what a cake to finish on!! This may possibly be my fave cake of the year simply because of the gorgeous shoe. I’ve made sugar shoes before but this one was a real challenge. A full size Christian Louboutin ‘Torero’ orange satin effect sugar stiletto sat on a full size shoe box cake for Beth’s 18th birthday. Just LOVED making it!!

The stiletto was handmade based on one of my own shoes (which is half the height and platformless, I’d never walk in something like this!!) and using images of a Torero shoe (last pic above), and the shoe box design (location of logo and sugar roses) was based on a picture provided by the client of a cake made by Elite Cake Designs in Australia.
