Something a bit different for me – the shape is based upon a cake I designed for Cake Central Magazine fashion issue (last image above) with the edible jewels as requested by the bride.

A challenge on many levels, not least that I worked over Christmas on this one and the middle tier just didn’t go exactly as planned – I had the jewels on and off it at least 3 times before I settled on the ‘not quite all over’ look. I was quite pleased with how this turned out, the finish on the deep bottom tier isn’t as perfect as I’d have liked it to be but the cake was 9" deep!
