Asked to make a cake for a fortieth birthday, but given no further information! Always wanted to make a ‘birdcage’ but never having had being asked it struck me as the ideal opportunity!! Recipient wasn’t expecting a cake and was completely amazed when I arrived with it! Vanilla butter sponge with raspberry conserve and vanilla bean buttercream.
