I always wanted to try my hand at a bird cage and when friends contacted me for their 25th wedding anniversary cake and gave me free rein on the design – well enough said. These were my practice birds and I never dreamed that I would end up using them but they were just too cute not to. I tried many tutorials for the peony but ended up using bits of them all to get the look that I wanted resulting in a tutorial for my Facebook page.
