This is definitely a non-traditional wedding cake! And it also let me live up to my company name of Cakes ROCK!!! & my ‘Rock ’n’ Roll Cake Diva’ nickname! The bride wanted the skull on top to look like ‘the Starchild’, Paul Stanley of KISS. I was thrilled & carried the theme throughout the entire cake.

So many pictures of Paul Stanley had him sticking his tongue out with a guitar pick on it, so I had a little fun with that & put the bride & grooms’ initials on the pick. And since Paul Stanley always wore black outfits with rhinestones & chokers, I gave him a choker & carried the glam ribbon down onto the other tiers. The middle & bottom tiers are airbrushed with stencils. And I purposely made the cascade of roses open ‘briar roses’ because I wanted to tuck little skulls into some of their centers.

The skull is Sour Cream Pound Cake with white chocolate filling & ganache. The middle tier is gluten-free Australian Chocolate Mud with Peanut Butter buttercream filling & dark chocolate/peanut butter ganache. The bottom tier is Almond-Amaretto cake with White Chocolate buttercream filling & white chocolate ganache. All edible except for the glam ribbon around the tiers.
