Placing a head on cake toppers

Hi everyone! ? My heads always go to the front side making the neck invisible or to the backside making a figurine as if it looks up in the sky. Does anyone have tips how to correctly place a head on a fondant topper or what to do generally, so it stands in one place without moving to the front or back?

I don’t see anything wrong with your little dog. When I am positioning a person’s head on the neck, the neck should lean slightly to the front, not perfectly straight with the spine. In the case of your puppy, I think this trick would work. Hope that makes sense.

Let the body dry a bit longer before placing the head on. Cute puppy tho😀🐶💖
