How to incorporate a shoe on a wedding cake

Hi wonderful cakers

I have been asked to make a wedding cake which is three suitcases stacked up; bride and groom sitting on the top, and a figurine of their dog on the second tier reaching up to the top tier.

The bride has also given me a silver plastic shoe (about 5cm) that she would like included on the cake somehow (it was on her Mum’s wedding cake).

Does anyone have any clever ideas for how this can be included without just looking random or out of place?

The only thing I can think of is have “stuff” coming out of a suitcase, as if it’s packed, but then I don’t want it to start to look messy or chaotic.

Any other thoughts greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Anna :)

What about it hanging from one of the handles of a suitcase? Like the heel behind the handle and the rest of the shoe in front. I don’t know if I am explaining it right…do you know what I’m trying to say?

Also, if the B&G were okay with it, you could put the dog in the shoe reaching up to the top, kind of like he was using the shoe as a step.

Aww I love that idea too. Thanks!!! SarahBeth3 to the rescue – AGAIN!!! :)
