Merry Christmas Toni, I got exercise related gifts which I requested and really needed after a wonderful year making and eating lots of cake:0)

That sounds like a great gift! I try not to sample to much of my baking! Ha ha!

Hey Toni – Merry xmas. I didn’t really get any baking stuff per se. I got money which I will be spending on cakeing stuff so does that count!!

I am also going to the NCACS in march. We should try to meet up (not to sound to stalkery). And I totally say enter a cake. But I must warn you it is totally addicing. I entered in my first competition in February of this year and after that I was hooked!!!

I am also entering into the Virginia show and taking 2 classes. Love the classes at the shows. It is so much fun!

Merry Christmas, Toni! I got a padded floor mat to stand on when I do my cakes (which I requested – not too exciting!). So I’m looking forward to that on my next cake.

Jennifer, it would be so fun to meet. I will message you when I look over the details and classes closer. I think I am going to spend some of my Christmas money on cake stuff as well!

Merry Christmas Toni!!! How exciting!!! I’ve never been to a cake show but I sure would love to! Can’t wait to see what you enter! I know it will be wonderful! I bought myself a really cool cupcake carrier I ran across at Bed, Bath & Beyond while I was out Christmas shopping! It was the 23rd so I figured it was too late to ask someone to get it for me!!! I recently found out the The White Flower Cake Shop near Cleveland has classes! That is only about 3 1/2 hours from me. I would love to go and learn how they make their amazing buttercream flowers and scroll work!

That’s a great gift Ellie, even if you had to buy it yourself! LOL! I’d love to learn to make buttercream flowers as well!

Merry Christmas Toni, you should definitely enter, I know you’d do well xx My Husband and Step son both got me vouchers for a shop in town that sells some great baking gifts and supplies, so I was really pleased. I’m thinking about buying a pasta maker because I’ve heard it’s great for getting your sugar paste thin and even xx

Thanks Karen. I recently bought a pasta maker to attach to my Kitchen Aid mixer, and I really love using it! It really makes the fondant so much more even than rolling it by hand!

Thank you Bev for the tip on taking lots of money! I know I will want to get a lot of new cake toys!!
