Cakes of 2014

Wow what a lot of cakes!

Yesterday I grouped together all of the cakes I have baked and decorated over the year and Wow… I was shocked at how many I had actually made especially as I am a beginner and just do this for a hobby.

I can safely say it is now a true passion of mine. For me the best way to relax is spending time in the kitchen. I’m sure many of you will agree!?

The main thing I noticed when putting all these photos together is improvement. I can see a huge development from the beginning of 2014 compared to the end. Things such as my sugarpaste covering – I feel it has got smoother through practice and I also pay alot more attention to detail.

I have developed a new ‘pet hate’ over the year too… Covering of the board! Something I never use to do but have to do everytime now. I feel it just adds that little final touch.

I’m very excited to see what 2015 will bring and how I will improve through the year!
