Sandra, I giggle at your comment re time on painting, as no, the cake didn’t get stale, but it’s something that’s realised when I paint cakes, to ensure freshness. And I box it with a fan on it afterwards. To keep cool. , it was covered one day, and totally painted the next day. And delivered the following day. I was delighted to hear from the groom who commented on how lovely it tasted :)
