Please don’t give up on decorating!! We are our own worst critics! I think your fondant finish looks great, and I don’t see one little flaw in it! I’m sure your godson will absolutely love his cake. Well done!!

I agree with all these comments, we all have days like this, i definitely do!! the cake is lovely and fondant looks very clean and smooth! sounds delicious! he will love it! :-)

Thanks everyone. I am feeling a little down about this one. It ripped in a couple of places and I patched it up as best I could. Also changed the design a bit to hide the flaws. Hadn’t had this much trouble in awhile but I think it might be the marshmallows I used. Haven’t used this kind the last couple of cakes.

This cake is gorgeous!!! Your talent is very obvious!!!! Stick with it!!!! I find people who don’t like fondant don’t like marshmallow or store brought. So I save myself the grief of making marshmallow fondant. I now only use retailer fondant.:) Great cake talent:)

Goreti…give up on decorating???? No way, we all definitely have days like this, it hapens to everybody who decorate cakes. The final result is great, so go and eat it and next time will be better!!! xxx

Thank you all so much. This cake really got to me because I wanted it to be so perfect. It made me feel like I had just taken a huge steps backwards. The funny thing is that I got so many compliments at the party. I guess people don’t look for the flaws like I do. They loved the flavors. Some people actually had a piece of both. One little boy declared the banana cake was “the best cake he ever ate” when he went back to seconds.
